To create a good resume

Writing a good resume can be critical to ensure you the job you want. But how do you create an overview and good resume? Here's our advice.

What is a resume?
CV stands for curriculum vitae. A resume should be a brief and punctually litany of what you've done in your life of work, courses, schools and other relevant things. The employer should easily get an overview of your experience and what you would do when he reads your CV.

CV is the first employer looking at, and on the basis of the sort he which applications will be read. Therefore, use plenty of time to write a good resume, it increases namely the chance to be invited for an interview! Also remember to customize your resume for what kind of job you are seeking.

How do I set up my resume?
A resume should always be in addition to job application, and these should complement each other. Resume and job application must always be transmitted together. The main thing is that your CV is neat, orderly and free of typos. Usually, resume the following points:

Personal data (name, address, telephone, mobile, email, date of birth, marital status)
Relevant job experience.
Other expirience.
Language skills.
Computer skills.

Begin each category by writing down your most recent experience at the top, and always include month and year you started and finished the various points. Also, write briefly what kinds of tasks you had in the different your experience. If you have "holes" in your CV, ie periods where you have not worked, gone to school, raised or done anything else, put the employer notice. You may therefore you will be asked to explain this if you are going for an interview.

Do you use categories "relevant experience" and "different experience" instead of "work experience", it's easier to sort your experience with the type of job you are seeking. Tips for designing CV
Length of a maximum of two pages.
Reverse chronological order (last / newest first).
Use white A4 paper.
Use common fonts / letter size - such as Times New Roman or Arial size 12 or 13.
Use the same font on your resume and application.
If you must send an application by email, use Word or pdf format.
If your resume is two pages, remember your name on both sides to avoid the employer holds the nameless pages. See an example here.
Diplomas and certificates
Send only copies of diplomas and certificates if the employer requests it.
It is now common to send application and CV via email, and only take with certificates and diplomas at the interview.
If required, copies of diplomas and certificates to be notarized, you must ensure this. Attestation can get done at NAV or universities / colleges.
Send or liver Never leave your original documents.

Many employers want references from former employers or others. One of the reasons to contact referees is that they should be able to verify information you provide on your CV and application.

You should provide at least two reference persons.
The references given in CV / application or interview.
The references given by name, job title and telephone number.
References are usually contacted after the interview.
Be wary of who you give your reference. The main thing with referees is that they know you well and have a positive attitude to you.
Always contact your references in advance! Inform about the job you have applied.
Employers will be most interested in references from past employment.
Who can be a reference? Former employers, colleague, union contact, membership in an organization, teacher, coach, friends (only if you have no other you can use)
