Age limits - job

Me and another guy (18 years) driver THINK .. We have held on for a month now and has made sales of 1.75 million NZ ca. We have then earned about 200,000 US $ each but we have the money standing on a paypal account now. We want to take this out but we do not know no about how much we can earn without paying tax or something for an exemption card etc .... Someone who wants to help ...?

Public and quality assured
Mostly apply core labor standards for all, no matter how old you are. But in some areas there are special rules to protect those who are under 18 years.

The law distinguishes between four age groups in terms of age and work:

Under 13 years
Persons under 13 years can not generally take jobs. If family runs farm, however children under 13 years help as potato harvesting, berry picking and easy care of animals. This is not regarded as work in the legal sense

13-15 years
If you have 13 years of age can perform "light" work. If the work is rated as easy, you can for example take a job as a paperboy or perform office and shop work.

Have you turned 14, you may also have other work as part of your schooling or practical vocational guidance. Such training should be approved by the school authorities.

15-18 years
Young people over 15 may have work that is not detrimental to their safety, health, development or schooling. That means for example, you may have shop work and rydde- and maintenance work in parks.

The employer must in each case determine whether the work can be detrimental to you, and is obliged to do what is necessary and attend to your safety, health and development.

Certain types of work considered dangerous and are forbidden to perform by persons under 18 years. Your employer can not put you to such work. 15 years old and the mandatory school

For persons under 15, or who are required to attend school, make working hours do not exceed two hours a day and 12 hours a week for weeks of instruction. 18 years
For people over 18 have normal working hours not be more than nine hours a day and 40 hours a week.
